Please note that during this time we will not be accepting paper requests for medications at the surgery
You can use the online service, email direct to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or if you have no access to the internet, please ring the surgery and one of our prescription clerks will deal with your request.
Patients on long-term medication can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways:
- By Hand – drop your repeat slip in at reception with the required items clearly marked.
- By Post – send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
- Online – follow the link at the top of this page and carry out a simple registration.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see either a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.
Please allow two full working days between requesting and collecting your medication.
Practice Repeat Prescription Ordering Policy
The practice no longer accepts repeat prescription requests from pharmacies on behalf of patients. We are aware that the online pharmacy, ‘Pharmacy 2U’ is currently mailing Wakefield residents advising of the services that they can provide. Please note that our policy also applies to Pharmacy 2U and therefore if you choose to nominate Pharmacy 2U to dispense your medicines, you will still need to order your own prescription from the surgery.
All pharmacies are still able to collect your repeat prescription from the surgery once it has been processed and deliver your medicines to you if they offer these services.
