Macmillan provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses. Over the financial year 2010/11, we reached a total of 31,799 patients
Youthhealthtalk enables young people, their family and friends, and professionals such as doctors and teachers to understand young people's experiences of health, illness and life in general. The website feature real-life accounts of issues such as effect on work and education, social life and relationships, consulting health professionals and treatment.
In addition to general medical consultations we are pleased to be able to provide specialist clinics and services covering the following areas:
Child Immunisation - All child immunisations are done at Orchard Croft on Tuesday mornings by appointment. Immunisation appointments are available between 08:45 - 12:15. Please do not bring babies with possible infections.
Family Planning - clinics are held on alternate Thursday mornings by the GP’s. All doctors and nurses give contraceptive advice during normal surgery time.
Chronic Disease Clinics - clinics for such things as Asthma, Diabetes, hypertension etc are run by the practice nurse at different times throughout the week.
Minor Surgery - some surgical procedures are performed at the Surgery without the need for hospital attendance. These are by pre-arrangement and after consultation with the GP.
Smoking Cessation - literature is available at the practice including information for Smoking Cessation Clinics .
Cervical Smears - a call and recall system is in operation for women aged 25-65. These are normally carried out every three to five years. Invitations to attend and the results of this test are sent to the patient’s home.
Dietary and Cholesterol Advice - with the practice nurses.
Immunisations - with the practice nurses.
We are only able to provide the NHS Vaccinations recommended for travel. You will need to seek travel advice from another service, often available at Pharmacies. If you require the NHS vaccinations, simply complete with the form below or available at reception and return it to the practice and book the next available appointment with a Practice Nurse. If the next available appointment is not soon enough for your travel needs then you will need to pay for the injections at the Travel Service. You might find visiting the following websites helpful:

Appointments are now available to book for your flu immunisation. Only people eligible will be given the vaccination.
